Our birthday parties are interactive and educational, designed to spark curiosity and excitement while keeping the experience comfortable and positive for kids and animals alike.

🐾 Birthday Party Options

We currently offer three birthday party experiences, depending on the length and level of interaction you’re looking for.

 

🐾 Mini Animal Party — $100

The Mini Animal Party is a short, hands-on animal experience that’s perfect for younger kids, smaller groups, or families looking for something fun and low-stress.

It’s designed to be engaging and interactive, while still keeping things age-appropriate.

What to expect:

  • About 30 minutes of animal fun

  • Meet an assortment of 4 animal ambassadors

  • Kids will have gentle, guided opportunities to interact with the animals

  • Some animals may be handled, while others are enjoyed up close through observation or touch

  • A relaxed, educational presentation that keeps kids curious and involved

For animals that aren’t handled (such as axolotls), kids still get to see them up close, and the birthday child may help with a supervised feeding when appropriate.

This party is perfect for smaller celebrations or families looking for a fun way to introduce kids to live animals without a long program.

 

🐢 Safari Adventure Party — $225 ⭐

Our most popular birthday experience.

The Safari Adventure Party is our full animal birthday experience, offering more animals, more variety, and more opportunities to interact.

What to expect:

  • About 60 minutes of interactive animal fun

  • Meet an assortment of 8 animal ambassadors

  • A variety of reptiles, amphibians, mammals, and invertebrates

  • Most animals can be gently handled, with guidance, while others are enjoyed up close through other interaction

  • A relaxed, educational presentation with plenty of time for questions

  • A special birthday keepsake for the birthday child

This option works well for mixed-age groups, older kids, and larger celebrations — or for families who want the complete animal experience.

🌟 Ultimate Wildlife Experience – $300

Your biggest, most immersive animal celebration for the ultimate wildlife fan!

This deluxe option is ideal for families who want the most hands-on time, the most animals, and the most unforgettable memories. With extended time and extra surprises, this experience brings the wildlife WOW factor.

Includes:

• Meet an assortment of 10 incredible animal ambassadors

• A 75–90 minute extended adventure packed with interaction

• Expanded photo opportunities with multiple animals

• A premium birthday gift for the birthday child

• Extra time for discoveries, handling, and questions

Designed for families looking for the most exciting, interactive, and memorable wildlife celebration available.

  • Animals are introduced one at a time

  • Clear, age-appropriate instructions are given before interactions

  • Adults are welcome to watch and participate

  • Not all animals are guaranteed, but each party includes a thoughtfully planned assortment

  • For safety reasons, unsupervised access to animals is not permitted

  • To get an idea, here is a list of what may be visiting!

Add a creative, take-home keepsake to your party!

Each participating child will:

  • Receive a stuffed axolotl

  • Decorate an aquarium-style habitat

  • Take home an adoption certificate

Participation is optional, and families can choose how many children take part.

 

🐢 Sulcata Tortoise Feeding Experience — $30 per party

Add a truly memorable moment to your celebration!

  • Meet our 30-pound sulcata tortoise

  • Learn fun facts about tortoises and their care

  • Children take turns helping feed the tortoise under close supervision

This experience is only available as a birthday party add-on.

💳 Booking & Payment Information

  • A deposit of half the party total is required to reserve your date and time

  • The remaining balance is due before the party begins

  • Payment links will be emailed after your booking request is approved

  • Accepted payment methods: Square, Venmo, or cash

  • Parties cannot begin with an unpaid balance

📍 Travel & Setup

Nature on the Geaux is a mobile program, and we’re happy to travel to homes, parks, schools, and party venues across the area.

No Travel Fee Areas

There is no travel fee for programs held in the following locations:

  • St. Tammany Parish

  • Orleans Parish

  • Upper Jefferson Parish

  • Tangipahoa Parish

  • St. Bernard Parish

  • Mississippi counties: Harrison, Pearl River, and Hancock

Outside These Areas

Programs held outside the areas listed above may require a travel fee. If you’re unsure whether a travel fee applies to your location, feel free to reach out — I’m always happy to help check!

Setup Notes

The host provides:

  • A clear indoor or shaded outdoor space

  • A 6-foot table

  • Pets secured in a separate area during the visit

Everything else is brought to you.

Birthday Party FAQs

  • Most birthday parties are best for ages 4 and up, but younger siblings are welcome with supervision. Our Mini Animal Party is especially popular for toddlers and preschoolers because it’s shorter and not as hectic.

  • The Mini Animal Party lasts about 30 minutes, while the Safari Adventure Party lasts about 60 minutes. Each option is designed to match kids’ attention spans and keep the experience fun and engaging.

    The add-ons will add extra time, anywhere from 20-45 minutes.

  • Each party includes an assortment of animal ambassadors. Animals vary from visit to visit and may include reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, or invertebrates, depending on the party option.

  • Many animals can be gently touched or handled with guidance. Some animals are not handled and are enjoyed through close observation instead (like the axolotls).

    Clear instructions are given before each interaction to keep both kids and animals comfortable.

  • While specific animals can’t be guaranteed, you’re welcome to share general preferences (for example, animals to avoid or types your child especially likes).

    This helps us plan a great experience while keeping things flexible and animal-friendly.

  • Parties are scheduled by time rather than by headcount. To make sure we stay on schedule, animals are introduced at a pace that works best for the group during the allotted time.

  • Yes. An adult must be present during the program. Parents are welcome to watch, participate, and help younger children as needed.

  • Yes! Parties can be held indoors or outdoors, weather permitting. Outdoor parties should have shade available to keep everyone comfortable.
