Nature on the Geaux brings live animal birthday parties directly to your home or party venue for an unforgettable up-close wildlife experience.

Imagine meeting a curious hedgehog, watching a snake explore, seeing a giant millipede up close, or learning about a tortoise from just inches away. Our live animal ambassadors help create exciting hands-on experiences that kids (and adults!) will be talking about long after the party ends.

During the program, guests will meet a variety of animal ambassadors from around the world while learning fun facts about habitats, adaptations, behaviors, and conservation in an engaging, age-appropriate format.

With years of experience working with children, schools, libraries, camps, and community events, Nature on the Geaux creates birthday experiences that are interactive, educational, and stress-free for families.

Touchable Only Animal Encounter - $175

This animal visit includes:

  • A 30-45 minute interactive show and tell presentation.

  • 8 animals of your choice.

  • Animals are touchable only.

  • Lots of photo opportunities to take of everyone touching the animals.

  • This is a great option for younger children!

Safari Adventure – $250


Get ready for a birthday your child will never forget! Our Animal Experience brings the party to life with amazing live animal ambassadors and unforgettable hands-on fun.

Your 60-minute interactive adventure includes:

  • 8 of your favorite animals — you choose from our incredible lineup!

  • Close-up encounters with opportunities for guests to take photos while holding or touching the animals

  • Interactive Q&A time so curious minds can ask all their wild questions.

  • VIP treatment for the birthday child — they get to meet and interact with each animal first!

Jurassic Adventure - $275

Does your child love dinosaurs? We do too!

  • 1 hour of prehistoric fun!

  • Birthday child will receive a special fossil as a gift from us

  • Each participant (up to 15) will get to take home the 4 real fossils they discover in their own dig.

  • Everyone will be able to check out real fossils from our private collection!

  • We’ll meet 5 animals with prehistoric adaptations: giant millipede, snake, tortoise, lizard, and hedgehog

Mad Scientist - $300

Get ready for a blast of science fun! Perfect for the curious kids who love to experiment and explore, our Mad Scientist Party turns your celebration into a hands-on chemistry lab.

🐢 Sulcata Tortoise Feeding Experience — $30 per party

  • Meet our 30-pound sulcata tortoise

  • Learn fun facts about tortoises and their care

  • Children take turns helping feed the tortoise under close supervision

This experience is only available as a birthday party add-on.

  • A $100 deposit is required to reserve your date and time

  • The remaining balance is due anytime before the party begins

  • Payment links will be emailed after your booking request is approved

  • Accepted payment methods: Stripe, Venmo, or cash

  • Parties cannot begin with an unpaid balance, no exceptions

The host provides:

  • A clear indoor or shaded outdoor space

  • A 6-foot table

  • Pets secured in a separate area during the visit

Everything else is brought to you.

Birthday Party FAQs

  • Most birthday parties are best for ages 4 and up.

  • The Touchable Party is 30 minutes, and the Safari Adventure Party is 60 minutes.

    The add-ons will add extra time, anywhere from 20-45 minutes.

  • It depends on what you request! Each party usually includes an assortment of animal ambassadors. Animals vary from visit to visit and may include reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, or invertebrates.

  • Many animals can be gently touched or handled with guidance. Some animals are not handled and are enjoyed through close observation instead (like the axolotls).

    Clear instructions are given before each interaction to keep both kids and animals comfortable.

  • You’re welcome to share favorite animals or special requests during booking, and we’ll do our best to include them when possible.

    Because our animal ambassadors are living animals, specific animals cannot be 100 percent guaranteed. Availability may change due to shedding cycles, weather, health, stress levels, or other care needs. If an animal is unavailable, a similar ambassador may be included in the program instead.

  • The parties are scheduled by time rather than by headcount. To make sure we stay on schedule, animals are introduced at a pace that works best for the group during the allotted time.

    If you have lots of people, hands-on time may be very limited.

    The fewer people that attend the more hands-on time you will have.

  • Yes. An adult must be present during the program. Parents are welcome to watch, participate, and help younger children as needed.

  • Yes! Parties can be held indoors or outdoors, weather permitting. Outdoor parties should have shade available to keep everyone comfortable.

    For the comfort and safety of both animals and participants, live animal programs must be held indoors when temperatures are above 90°F or below 65°F.

    The axolotls are inside only animals so please keep that in mind if they are requested. They cannot be left unsupervised by us, no exceptions.
