Come meet some of our animals!
We are home to over 35 incredible animal ambassadors, and each one is deeply loved and carefully cared for here at Nature on the Geaux. Our animals come from a variety of responsible sources, including ethical breeders as well as rehomed or rescued exotic pets. Every ambassador in our care plays an important role in helping us teach about wildlife, conservation, and responsible animal stewardship.
When we’re not out in the community leading programs, our days are filled with daily care, enrichment, and gentle training to ensure each animal is healthy, comfortable, and confident. This behind-the-scenes care is just as important as our public programs and helps make every animal encounter safe, respectful, and meaningful—for both people and animals.
