Nature Station is designed to be educational, safe, and engaging for high-attendance events. To ensure the best experience for everyone, the following guidelines apply:
✔ What Nature Station Is
A drop-in, flow-through educational experience
Guided by a professional environmental educator
Focused on observation, discussion, and learning
Designed for guests to engage briefly and move on naturally
❌ What Nature Station Is Not
A petting zoo
A free-for-all handling experience
A stage show or presentation
A replacement for structured classroom programs
🐾 Animal Interaction & Safety
All animals are handled by the educator only
Guest interaction is guided and limited for safety
Animals may rotate or take breaks as needed
Animal selection is determined by the educator based on conditions and welfare
👥 Crowd & Flow Expectations
Nature Station works best when guests visit briefly and move through
Extended one-on-one time per guest is not guaranteed
For extremely high-traffic events, Non-Live Nature Station may be recommended
🌦 Environmental Considerations (Live Stations)
Live Nature Stations are weather-dependent
Extreme heat, cold, or weather conditions may require adjustments
Educator may transition to fewer animals or a non-live format if needed
🔒 Right to Modify or Decline
Nature on the Geaux reserves the right to:
Adjust animal participation for safety and welfare
Recommend a non-live station for large or high-stress events
Decline events that are not a good fit for animal ambassadors
These guidelines allow us to provide ethical, educational experiences while prioritizing animal welfare.
Nature Station availability for large festivals is limited and scheduled selectively.
Nature Station is a guided educational experience and is not a petting zoo.
