Nature on the Geaux is a mobile nature center bringing engaging wildlife education experiences directly to schools, libraries, homeschool groups, Scouts, camps, parks, community organizations, and more throughout Southeast Louisiana and Coastal Mississippi.
Through live animal ambassadors, interactive presentations, and hands-on learning, we help learners discover the incredible adaptations, behaviors, habitats, and natural history of wildlife while building meaningful connections with the natural world.

Nature on the Geaux exists to inspire curiosity, build connections with the natural world, and encourage lifelong stewardship through engaging wildlife education.

Important Program Notes
For the comfort and safety of our animal ambassadors, live animal programs must be held indoors when temperatures are above 90°F or below 65°F.
Animals are always supervised, and programs are led by an experienced wildlife educator.
Service Area & Travel
Nature on the Geaux is based in Slidell, Louisiana and travels throughout Southeast Louisiana and Coastal Mississippi.
Travel within 40 miles of Slidell is included in the program price.
For locations beyond 40 miles, the following travel fees apply:
0–40 miles: Included
41–60 miles: $25
61–80 miles: $50
81+ miles: Contact us for a travel quote
Travel distance is calculated one way from Slidell to the program location. Any applicable travel fee will be confirmed before booking.
