Fun and Educational Live Animal & Science Outreach Programs

nature on the Geaux believes that environmental education can be fun and engaging, so we take a hands-on approach to teaching - whether that involves doing a live animal program, discovering fossils, testing for water quality, or looking for water critters under a microscope!

Contact Tanee with your questions at natureonthegeaux@gmail.com or call 985-956-2136

For the comfort and safety of the animals (and for the kids), live animal visits must be indoors if temperatures are above 95 degrees or below 65 degrees

“Cannot recommend on the Nature on the Geaux enough! Tanee brought 3 experiences for my 22 second grade students. She was patient and engaging. I was so impressed with how she worked with the standards I was teaching, along with lines of inquiry. I am so excited to have her back in the future!” - Nancy

“Nature on the Geaux is just amazing. Tanee was great with the kids, got on their level and even answered the stereotypical kid "poop" questions! Her animals were awesome and the kids just loved the experience. Highly recommend for anyone of any age!” - Shannon

“Absolutely so engaging! Animals are well cared for, and she is so knowledgeable and qualified for her talks on animals. It was such a pleasure meeting her and her animals. She responds quickly, is affordable, and easy to work with.” - Madi
