Hands-On Science for Curious Learners

Nature is full of questions worth exploring.

Our Environmental Education Programs invite participants to think like scientists through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that explore ecosystems, conservation, environmental challenges, and the connections between people and the natural world.

From wetlands and watersheds to biodiversity, food webs, and engineering challenges inspired by nature, every program is designed to spark curiosity, build understanding, and make environmental science engaging and accessible.

Whether we’re investigating habitats, testing ideas, solving problems, or exploring how living things interact with their environment, our goal is to help learners ask questions, make discoveries, and see science come to life.

Looking for Outdoor Learning?

Some environmental education experiences are best explored outside.

If you're looking for guided nature walks, field investigations, wildlife observation, or outdoor science experiences, be sure to explore our Outdoor Learning & Field Experiences page for programs that take learning beyond the classroom and into parks, trails, wetlands, and other natural spaces.

Learning Through Investigation

Environmental education is about more than memorizing facts.

Our programs encourage participants to ask questions, collect evidence, make observations, test ideas, and think critically about the natural world. Whether participants are engineering a wildlife crossing, investigating food webs, exploring wetland ecology, or learning how ecosystems respond to change, every activity is designed to build curiosity through discovery.
