Giving Back

Supporting Environmental Education in Our Communities

Giving back to our community is an important part of Nature on the Geaux’s mission.

Each year, we set aside a limited number of opportunities to support organizations, events, and initiatives that align closely with our values of environmental education, conservation, and community engagement.

These opportunities are intended to help expand access to meaningful environmental education experiences while supporting programs that inspire curiosity, stewardship, and a deeper connection with the natural world.

Who Giving Back Is For

Priority may be given to requests from:

  • Conservation organizations

  • Environmental nonprofits

  • Nature centers

  • Museums

  • Government agencies

  • Community environmental education initiatives

  • Public events with a strong environmental or conservation focus

How Requests Are Considered

Requests are reviewed based on a variety of factors, including:

  • Alignment with Nature on the Geaux’s mission

  • Educational value and community impact

  • Audience served

  • Location and travel requirements

  • Time of year and scheduling availability

  • Program format and event needs

Because availability is limited, not all requests can be accommodated.

Important to Know

Submitting a request does not guarantee availability or complimentary programming.

Depending on the event, audience, and scheduling needs, support may be offered as:

  • A donated educational experience

  • A reduced-cost program

  • A recommendation for a customized paid program if Giving Back availability is not available

Our goal is to support meaningful community education opportunities whenever possible while balancing the time, travel, preparation, and animal care involved in each program.

Giving Back opportunities are limited and are not intended for standard private bookings, birthday parties, or routine event requests.

A Good Fit for Giving Back May Include

  • Conservation-focused community events

  • Public environmental education initiatives

  • Nature centers and museums with limited programming budgets

  • Nonprofit events that directly support wildlife conservation or environmental stewardship

  • Educational outreach efforts serving communities with limited access to nature programming
