What to Expect
Each Wildlife Education Program includes:
• A live animal presentation featuring a variety of reptiles, amphibians, mammals, and invertebrates
• Age-appropriate discussion about animal biology, habitats, and adaptations
• Opportunities for learners to observe animals up close
• Interactive questions and student participation throughout the program
• A focus on respect for wildlife and conservation
Some animals may be touchable depending on the species, program setting, and group size, while others are observation-only to ensure animal welfare.
Animals That May Visit Your Classroom
Every Wildlife Education Program features a rotating group of live animal ambassadors that help demonstrate important science concepts like adaptations, habitats, and survival strategies.
Animals are carefully selected for each program based on the group’s age, program theme, and animal availability.
Students may meet animals such as:
🐍 Snakes – like corn snakes or hognose snakes
🦎 Lizards – including blue-tongue skinks, geckos, or bearded dragons
🐢 Tortoises – such as a red-foot tortoise
🐸 Amphibians – including frogs and other unique species
🦔 Small mammals – like hedgehogs, rabbits, or ferrets
🕷️ Invertebrates – such as millipedes, tarantulas, or scorpions
During the presentation, students will learn about each animal’s habitat, diet, adaptations, and role in the ecosystem.
Some animals may be touchable depending on the species and program setting, while others are observation-only to ensure animal comfort and safety.
