A nature guide for your badges, classrooms, and big adventures!

Looking for a flexible way to bring science and nature to life—without live animals? With our Rent-a-Naturalist program, you design the adventure! Whether it’s in your classroom, scout meeting, library… or out on the trail, park, or wetland, a naturalist will guide your group through hands-on activities, games, and real biofacts like skulls, pelts, shells, and fossils.

And here’s the best part: your guide isn’t just any nature enthusiast—she’s a Certified Louisiana Master Naturalist with over 25 years of experience sharing the wild wonders of our state. That means your group gets expert knowledge mixed with kid-friendly fun!

🐾 What’s Included

  • Pick-Your-Adventure Activities – STEM challenges, scavenger hunts, badge support, journaling, crafts, or guided nature walks.

  • Hands-On Biofacts – Skulls, pelts, shells, fossils, and other touchable items to bring lessons to life.

  • Custom Themes – Wetlands, adaptations, ecosystems, nocturnal life, endangered species, or badge-specific topics.

  • Flexible Locations – Indoors at your site OR outdoors in a local natural space (park, trail, wetland).

  • Kid-Friendly Learning – Playful, interactive, and packed with “aha!” moments.

🐢 How It Works

  1. Book Your Time – Start with 1 hour, add more if you’d like.

  2. Pick Your Focus – Ecosystems, conservation, adaptations, STEM activities, etc.

  3. Adventure Time! – Your naturalist brings everything needed for a wild and engaging program.

💰 Rates

  • $100 for the first hour (St. Tammany Parish special!)

  • $125 for the first hour (outside parish)

  • Each additional hour just $75 (no matter where you’re located!)

  • For groups of 15 or less. If you have more than that please email me.

No Travel Fee: St. Tammany, Orleans, Upper Jefferson, Tangipahoa, St. Bernard; and MS counties: Harrison, Pearl River, Hancock.

$25 travel fee for the following parishes/counties: Upper Plaquemines, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, Livingston, Washington, Stone, Lamar, & Jackson County

$30 travel fee for: Ascension, East Baton Rouge parishes

Travel fees are paid in addition to program fees and are to offset additional vehicle costs.
