Scout Nature & Badge Programs

Hands-On Learning for Curious Scouts

Nature on the Geaux offers engaging Scout programs designed to help troops work toward badge and adventure requirements while exploring wildlife, ecology, science, and the natural world.

Whether your troop is working toward a specific badge or simply looking for a fun, educational experience, programs can be adapted to fit your groupโ€™s age, goals, and interests.

We come to your location.

Scout Badge Workshops

Scout Badge Workshops are approximately 90 minutes long and are designed to support specific badge or adventure requirements through hands-on activities, discussion, exploration, and, in select programs, live animal ambassadors.

Price: $150 per workshop for troops of up to 25 participants
Badges and patches are not included.

Programs marked ๐Ÿพ include live animal ambassadors.

For the comfort and safety of the animals, live animal programs must be held indoors when temperatures are above 95ยฐF or below 65ยฐF.

Scout Badge Workshops are not offered during June and July due to our summer programming schedule.

Scout Badge Workshops at Northlake Nature Center

Want to take your Scout program outdoors?

Nature on the Geaux Scout Badge Workshops can now be held at Northlake Nature Center in Mandeville! Scouts can work toward their badge requirements while enjoying a beautiful natural setting with plenty of opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration.

Depending on the badge, programs may include outdoor exploration, wildlife observations, environmental science activities, nature investigations, and live animal ambassadors.

All of our Scout Badge Workshops can be offered at Northlake Nature Center, giving troops the option to come to us instead of hosting the program at their own meeting location.

Interested in scheduling a workshop? Contact Nature on the Geaux to choose your badge program and find an available date.
