We love to give back to our communities we serve by helping with community outreach <3

We love bringing nature to the community! For select public events, we offer volunteer Nature Station Booth as part of our outreach efforts. These are provided at no charge to qualifying events that meet the following criteria:

  • The event is open to the public and free to attend.

  • The event includes multiple vendors or booths (festival-style).

  • Our station will not be the only booth at the event (no exceptions).

If your event meets these requirements, we’d love to hear from you!

What is a Nature Station?

A Nature Station is a casual, hands-on experience where guests can:

  • Meet a rotating variety of live animal ambassadors (species vary by event and weather conditions).

  • Explore biofacts like skulls, shells, and feathers.

  • Try interactive activities such as our “Guess the Animal” board or table-top challenges.

  • Ask questions, take photos, and connect with our experienced animal handlers.

This informal setup is perfect for all ages, making it a great way to inspire curiosity and spark conversations about nature.

Important Details

  • Weather Guidelines: For the safety of our animals, we do not bring them outdoors if temperatures are below 65°F or above 95°F. In these cases, we provide engaging alternatives like biofacts or hands-on science activities.

  • Supervision: Adults must remain with young children; our team is there to educate, not babysit.

  • Promotion: We request permission to display informational materials about Nature on the Geaux for guests to take home.

Since this is a free service please only request if you are from the following parishes or counties: St. Tammany, Orleans, Upper Jefferson, Tangipahoa, St. Bernard, Harrison, Pearl River, Hancock.

If you are outside of those areas or do not meet our criteria our Nature Station is $175 for the first hour and $100 each additional hour.
