We love to give back to our communities we serve by in-kind donations <3
What are in-kind donations?
Instead of charging to come out to some community events since we are providing educational entertainment, we offer in-kind donations to certain groups that meet our criteria which is: the event should be open to the public and there should be other vendors there with booths set up like a festival. We are not to be the only booth set up, no exceptions.
Feel free to contact us to request a volunteer ‘hands-on’ Nature Station. A variety of different animals are put on display for people to touch along with biofacts, and an activity. The variety and number of animals vary with each event and/or weather conditions. If it is too hot or too cold, we do not bring animals out.
All we request is that we can put out promotional material for people to take.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING Nature Station EXPERIENCE.
A Nature Station is a casual encounter where participants can approach animals that are on display or being held by their handlers. This type of setup is very casual and informal. Participants may be allowed to touch when appropriate. Guests may also ask questions of the animal handlers while they interact. Photos are always welcome. This type of encounter is good for all ages. Also includes hands-on activities such as our “Guess the Animal” board.
If it is below 65 degrees or above 95 degrees (our temp range for the safety of the animals), participants will encounter things like biofacts, hands-on science activities, or our table top robot obstacle course.
Recommended Ages: Anyone (adults must attend with small children, we do not babysit children at our booth)
Since this is a free service please only request if you are from the following parishes or counties: St. Tammany, Orleans, Upper Jefferson, Tangipahoa, St. Bernard, Harrison, Pearl River, Hancock.
If you are outside of those areas or do not meet our criteria our Nature Station is $175 for the first hour and $125 each additional hour.
