Community Nature Stations

Bringing Wildlife Education Into Our Communities

Nature on the Geaux brings interactive wildlife and nature education to select festivals, community events, museums, parks, and other public gatherings through our Community Nature Stations.

These drop-in educational experiences give guests the opportunity to stop by throughout an event, explore, ask questions, and make new discoveries about wildlife and the natural world.

Depending on the event and theme, a Nature Station may include:

  • Live animal ambassadors

  • Biofacts and natural objects

  • Hands-on educational activities

  • Interactive displays

  • Wildlife and nature education

Community Nature Stations are designed for event-style settings where guests visit throughout the event rather than participating in a scheduled presentation.

Complimentary Community Outreach

Nature on the Geaux offers a limited number of complimentary Community Nature Stations each year for public events that closely align with our wildlife education, environmental education, conservation, and community outreach mission.

Priority is given to free, public events hosted by or in partnership with organizations such as:

  • Museums and nature centers

  • Parks and recreation departments

  • Environmental and conservation organizations

  • Government agencies

  • Environmental nonprofits

  • Community science and nature education initiatives

Complimentary stations are offered on a limited basis and are selected based on mission alignment, event format, location, scheduling, and available resources.

What Doesn't Qualify as Complimentary Outreach?

Community outreach is intended for public, event-style experiences and is not a complimentary substitute for our regular educational programs.

Schools, childcare centers, camps, homeschool groups, Scout troops, youth organizations, and other groups looking for a scheduled program specifically for their participants should book a Wildlife Education Program.

Paid Event Nature Stations

Hosting an event that doesn't meet our complimentary outreach criteria? Nature Stations are also available as a paid event service.

Pricing

$175 for the first hour
$100 for each additional consecutive hour

Paid Nature Stations are a great fit for:

  • Community celebrations
