Sometimes the best way to learn about nature is simply to step outside and start noticing.

Naturalist for Hire experiences are designed for small groups who want a more personal, flexible way to explore the natural world. Whether you're planning a homeschool outing, Scout adventure, family experience, or small-group nature activity, I'll meet you at your chosen outdoor location and help your group discover what is happening right in front of us.

Every experience is a little different because nature is always changing.

No previous nature knowledge is needed—just curiosity!

What to Expect

These experiences are informal, interactive, and led by what we discover together.

Depending on the topic and location, we may look for wildlife signs, identify plants and insects, practice observation skills, use field guides or magnifying tools, explore an ecosystem, or spend some time nature journaling.

The goal isn't to race through a checklist. It's to slow down, ask questions, and notice things you may have walked past a hundred times before.

Pricing

Naturalist for Hire — $75 + mileage

  • Approximately 60 minutes

  • Up to 10 participants

  • Customized for your group and location

  • Outdoor experience at a mutually agreed-upon park, green space, nature area, or other suitable location

To continue bringing wildlife programs across our service area, a small fuel & travel fee may apply based on distance from my private facility in Slidell, LA.

Distance-Based Fees:

  • 0–15 miles: Included

  • 16–30 miles: $20

  • 31–50 miles: $40

Distance is calculated based on travel to your location.
