At Nature on the Geaux, we believe every group should have the chance to experience the wonder of live animal encounters—no matter the budget. That’s why we offer optional Animal Encounters that not only give participants an unforgettable memory, but also help fund your program!
📸 Animal Encounter Options
$10 Printed Photo – Participants enjoy a 1-on-1 experience with one of our amazing animal ambassadors, complete with a printed photo keepsake to remember their wild adventure.
$5 BYO Photo – Teachers or chaperones can snap the perfect shot of participants during their animal encounter using their own device to send to student’s guardians.
✨ How It Works
Every photo option sold goes directly toward lowering your program cost—sometimes even making your event completely FREE!
Plus, 20% of any extra proceeds beyond your program total can be donated back to your PTA or another designated school organization. (The remainder helps us provide top-notch care for our animals.)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where can programs be held?
Indoors only (classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, or community rooms).
Where are photos taken?
Indoors, near an outlet with enough space for participants to move in and out efficiently.
What does the host need to provide?
Signed permission slips for all participants even the ones not taking photos. We also would need a 6ft table and a dedicated space to take pictures.
Do all participants need to opt in to the photo opportunity?
Not at all :) We want everyone that is able to come to the program, whether they pay for a photo opportunity or not.
Purchased photos will be mailed within one week of the visit if not printed on-site.
